Hello! I'm Gloria Guo, a visual designer, brand creative, & illustrator based in Los Angeles.

Currently,

I am attending the Royal College of Art in London for Service Design.

As a multidisciplinary creative, I am also seeking exciting contract projects in branding and package design.

Always handcrafted
from the heart.

As a designer, I'm passionate about crafting branding & visuals that are as beautiful as they are effective.

Most recently, I worked as a Visual Curator at Apple in developing Apple Intelligence's Image Playground.

Previously, I've developed marketing campaigns and designed visually compelling graphics at Alex & Ani, crafted branding and visualized packaging at fashion brand Collabofix, and fostered a creative community at Innovative Design at USC to provide accessible design education to all.

To me, design is...
01.

a story to be told.

I believe that meaningful design relies on empathetic listening. Good design tells us the stories of who we’ve designed it for. As a creator, I care deeply about listening to brands, understanding their narrative, grasping the essence of who they are, and making sure that their stories are reflected in what I create.

02.

a connection to be made.

Design is genuine and uniquely created for you. It strives to hear you out, address your struggles, and integrate into your daily life. In that way, empathetic design feels like an old friend that just knows you.

03.

a world to be built.

To me, the most alluring aspect of design is that it's limitless—an uninterrupted canvas where ideas are never-ending and entire worlds are just waiting to be created. Design can be shaped by anyone and everyone, so why don’t you join me?

My design comes from a solid understanding of who you are, where you want to go, and who you want to connect with. I create with the knowledge I’ve learnt, but most importantly I design from my heart—crafting stories & building relationships is what I do best!
Beyond design, I'm...
a ceramicist

I’m someone who’s not afraid to get hands on! I love experimenting with physical craft, and the ceramics studio has quickly become my second home where I’m always wheel-throwing a new piece or discovering new glaze combinations!

a regular

Nothing hits the spot quite like a cup of coffee! “The usual?” is usually the first thing I hear when hitting up my favorite cafe, where you can find me chowing down on a mocha roti and sipping on a caffeinated drink!

a gamer

While I wouldn’t call myself a gamer girl (yet), Genshin Impact, Persona 5, & Animal Crossing are guilty pleasures of mine! Talk to me about your favorite in-game worlds ☺
